confirmation

as the "press release" goes,
mystery white boy's new record, the six track ep "utopia", is due out in march, and combines grungey glitch-pop/trip-hop with funky, falsetto electro-soul.

see above for more info - this release is now scheduled for MARCH 16th.

official new album title

the forthcoming release, which has undergone many changes, is now essentially finalized.
it will be 1 EP with two parts, "secret dates with strangers" and "city blues."
the title, we think, will be the original "utopia".

1. Choices
2. Problematic
3. View From A Brick Wall
4. Utopia And Us
5. Gutterball
6. City Blues

all tracks are recorded and mastered. initial plans to have an 8 track album or extended release have been scrapped due to appropriateness of song choice, etc. the layout is now very similar to that of the original "mystery white boy" ep.

yo yo listen up

mwb is proud to announce the beginnings of a collaboration with some UCF film students, who have agreed to shoot his first music video. taking inspiration from mwb's ideas, the guys have put together a fantastic little plot and will hopefully get things rolling within the month.

the video marks citycascade's wish to use as many mediums as possible to reach audiences. the single (which is a secret, for now) will be put on youtube, itunes and other websites, as well as being available on disc. worrrd.

utopia - the latest

[feb 19th]
those who were expecting a typical "album" a) were a bit ignorant and b) may be disappointed to hear that this is not to be.
initial plans seem to have altered a bit, and we are currently looking at a double ep, half of which has the traditional "utopia" sound (portishead, cooper temple clause, u2) and half of which is a bit more funky, soulful and groovy (francis and the lights, hot chip). it's hard to tell what's going to happen, as mystery white boy feels he has been rushing and isn't 100% happy with the finished products, but changes are being made and things are coming together. stay tight.
